The Fourth Trimester
Postpartum ideally is a cherished stage of parenthood. I was a new mother, I had expected it to be a journey of healing, an intimate period of bonding. The first 6 months of my life was a haze, and in the end I was robbed from my memories. All that I have left are the pictures I took on my phone to look back on. This is why I created the Fourth Trimester Project. I am documenting families in their postpartum stages. I hope that these images can start a conversation of what postpartum really looks like. I want every family that participates images that aid them in their journey of healing, and to keep the memories of their new beginnings forever.
For the year of 2022- I am offering a pay-what-you-can-rate for families that respond to my model call. See my documentary services if you would like your images private. POC, LBGTQ and all diverse families are encouraged to apply.
What can you expect? After signing your contract and paying your deposit, we can reserve a day for me to come visit you in your home. After getting to know one another, you can go back to your usual day. I will be in the background photographing your healing journey in the postpartum stage. Once I am done (I usually take 1-2 hours) I will head out and deliver your images via an online gallery in 2-3 weeks.

But frankly, I was robbed- from my memories and my presence as a new mother. As I try to claim it back, and I find myself doing that by looking back to my phone recordings and photos.
This is the point of the Fourth Trimester Project. To reclaim, restore, and give parents back the opportunity to heal and to bond. I encourage all families/ parents to apply and participate.
